1. About the service
Fotographer.in is an online marketplace where customers publish production briefs for photography and video, and professionals send proposals. We provide the tools to post briefs, compare proposals, communicate and track projects. We are not a party to the agreement between a customer and a professional, and we do not provide photography or video services ourselves.
By using the platform you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Cancellation and Dispute Policy and the Copyright and Content Policy.
2. Accounts
- You must be an adult able to enter a binding contract, or act for a business that can.
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- One person or business should not hold duplicate accounts to avoid enforcement.
3. Customers and briefs
- Describe your requirements honestly and completely, including deliverables, location, schedule, budget and usage rights.
- Do not put private contact details or exact addresses in the public description.
- Briefs may be reviewed before publication, and we may request changes or decline a brief.
- Posting a brief does not oblige you to hire anyone.
4. Professionals and proposals
- Profiles are reviewed and may be approved, rejected or suspended. A verification badge appears only when specific checks are recorded.
- You may publish portfolio work only if you own it or have permission, and you must confirm this on upload.
- Proposals must be accurate, state what is included and excluded, and honour the validity period you set.
- You may hold one active proposal per brief. Use the revision process to change it.
- You are responsible for permits, licences, insurance and taxes that apply to your work, including drone operations where permitted by law.
5. Awarded projects
When a customer accepts a proposal, the platform saves a snapshot of the agreed deliverables, price, dates, revisions and usage rights. That snapshot is the shared reference for the project. Changes should be agreed through the platform so both sides have a record. The customer and the professional are responsible for performing their obligations under what they agreed.
A brief is awarded once by default. Multiple awards are possible only where the brief defines separate roles or lots.
6. Fees and payments
- Posting a brief is free for customers.
- Any fees for professionals, such as paid leads, subscriptions, commission or featured listings, will be published on the Pricing page before they apply.
- Payment records on the platform track status only. We do not process, hold or release funds unless a payment gateway is configured and clearly stated on the platform. We are not an escrow service.
- If a gateway is introduced, payment confirmation will come from the provider's verified server notifications, not from messages in your browser.
7. Content and licences
You keep ownership of the content you submit. You grant Fotographer.in a limited licence to host, display and process it to run the platform, including showing public brief summaries and approved portfolio items. Ownership and usage rights in the photographs and videos created for a project are as agreed between the customer and the professional in the accepted proposal.
8. Acceptable use
You must not:
- Post false, misleading, unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit or infringing content.
- Harass, threaten or discriminate against anyone.
- Share or request payment outside the platform to avoid agreed fees, where fees apply.
- Scrape, probe or attempt to bypass security or access controls.

10. Disclaimers
