How it works

A clear path from "I need a shoot" to "delivered".

Fotographer.in is built around one workflow. You describe the production once, professionals respond with comparable proposals, and the agreed terms carry through to delivery.

Step 1 · Post your brief

Describe the work in the terms professionals quote against.

A guided, mobile-friendly wizard asks only what matters for your category: SKU counts for product shoots, functions and crew for weddings, rooms and walkthroughs for real estate. Save a draft and come back whenever you like.

  • Deliverables, locations, dates, budget range and usage rights in seven short steps.
  • Show the look you want with example images, and add moodboards, shot lists and scripts.
  • Your address, phone and email stay private by default.

Start a brief

Step 2 · Receive proposals

Relevant professionals respond with a structured offer.

Once your brief is reviewed and published, matching professionals are notified. Matching uses plain rules you can understand: category, location and coverage, capabilities and budget.

  • Every proposal states price, itemised costs, inclusions, exclusions, timeline and validity.
  • One active proposal per professional, with a defined revision process instead of duplicates.
  • Only you and authorised administrators can see the proposals on your brief.
Step 3 · Compare offers

Weigh scope and fit, not only the lowest number.

Compare proposals side by side across price, scope, portfolio relevance, delivery timeline, usage rights and payment schedule. Ask clarifying questions in private conversations and request a revised proposal when something is unclear.

  • Shortlist the proposals you like and decline the rest.
  • Messages stay inside the platform, attached to the brief or proposal.
  • Reviews appear only from completed projects.
Step 4 · Award the project

Accept one proposal and lock the scope.

When you accept a proposal, the platform creates a project and saves a snapshot of exactly what was agreed: deliverables, price, dates, revision allowance and usage rights. Both sides see the same record.

  • One award per brief by default. Multi-vendor lots only when the brief allows separate roles.
  • The brief status updates and everyone involved is notified.
  • Status history is preserved so changes are never silent.
Step 5 · Manage delivery

Track the project to completion.

Milestones, a deliverable checklist, feedback, revision requests and project messages live in one place. Payment status is recorded against the project, and the platform never claims to process money unless a payment gateway is configured and stated.
